This variety is only grown in Turkey,in particular in the region of Adana-Mersin and is mainly exported to the Middle-East countries, where it is highly appreciated.The fruits are small and round.At maturity, the rind is dark red-orange, smooth and bright, with a thickness of 3 mm.The flesh it tightly adherent to the rind. It does not puff easily.Its bright dark orange flesh contains an average of 11,38 seeds,and owns a delightfully rich,sweet and delectable taste.At maturity,its juice content is 43,87%. Though it is very seedy,it is a very attractive variety due to it very sweet juice and tasteful flesh.Even more after maturity,it does not easily lose its quality.
Turkey is the country in the world where this variety is grown the most, and especially in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.Being a very early variety,it takes the biggest share in Turkish lemon exports.It has a large sized,elliptical long shape with a greenish-yellow flesh and few seeds(6-7 seeds).The rind is light green,thin,bright and smooth.Its peculiar characteristic is the leaning nipple Juice content 31,39%.
This variety is particularly grown in the western part of the Meditarranean Region in Turkey, where it has been rapidly expanding in recent years.It is one of the most exported varieties to be consumed in fresh.It owns the most coloured rind of all the grapefruit varieties.It has a slightly flat rounded shape and both the rind and the flesh have got a rich red colour.The rind is smooth,bright ,thin and easy to peel. Its acid content,less than in the other grapefruits varieties(1,49%) and its high content in juice(43,67%),together with its pleasant taste make it a very attractive variety.Nearly seedless.
Orange it is the oldest Navel orange known in the Mediterranean Region.Among the oranges sold for fresh consumption.It is the variety the most appreciated for fresh consumption.It flourishes in all the Mediterranean Coast from Antalya to Hatay.These last years,new plantations of Navel oranges have been made.The fruits are big,oblate rounded,with a typical navel at the end.The thick (5-7 mm) easily removed rind is dark orange and slightly roung.It has an excellent flavour,its taste being sweet but acid enough.This seedless variety is of easy slicing.It is a mid-season orange,convenient for storage and transportation.
